The Seafare of Williamsburg was established in 1976 by Nick Saras and his family. They had one goal in mind and that was to create a restaurant that focused on the highest quality of food and service. A staple in those days of what the industry should be – that mindset has not changed for the Seafare in 36 years. To this day the success of Seafare is attributed to that philosophy.

I had a wonderful time here with my husband. Our server was funny and attentive and our food was delicious. I was surprised how empty the place was but maybe it was because of COVID. Not sure. We really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely return. Their cornbread is amazing!
What a nice dining experience! Beautiful restaurant. We were in the Cruising Room. Looks just like an old dining room on a cruise ship. Five stars. Food excellent. Service excellent from Karen. Candlelight, linen tablecloths and napkins, quality tableware. Amazing menu. They even serve sherbet before the main course to cleanse your palate. Top notch restaurant. Specialty is seafood. My red snapper was the special and it was delicious. Highly recommend. Update - 8/13/21 What a difference...horrible experience. Dining room was so dark you couldn't see the menu. Menu not the same. Limited. No specials. Only sides were fries, baked potato or rice pilaf. Crab bisque was so salty we couldn't eat it. No offers of another item. Wine we wanted wasn't available. Not delivered yet. Service was slow. I mean really slow. We got there for our 6 PM reservation. We didn't get out until 7:30. Food was warm but not hot. Not good either. I can no longer recommend...sad.
Nice ambience! The food is good but maybe not great. There was nothing really special about the food. However, the environment was cool and comfy. Kid-friendly too! Our waiter (Karen) showed professionalism and sure looked like she enjoys what she does.
We were greeted right away and seated soon thereafter. The food was just okay especially as it compares to the prices. A highlight was definitely the bread. The time it took between the order and delivery seemed longer, but the server did keep us posted. I don't see myself returning but I would encourage everyone to at least give it a try.
Difficult to sum this place up. Over fussy table decorations in an otherwise relaxed and laid back atmosphere. Fish was fresh and well cooked although at the price that should be a given. Nice touches are the 3 different breads at different stages of the menu and the Mandarin amuse-bouche. Service is fast. Downsides were the broken shell and grit in my clams and the server clearing the table while I was still eating. In fact everything seemed like he wanted to move us out quickly and finish his shift. I sympathise with him.
