Jose Tequilas Mexican Bar and Grill
GOOD: Fun Festive atmosphere, great service, fresh chips
BAD: On the pricey side for Mexican food and entrees fell a little flat
I wanted to love Jose Tequilas - it's very festive and fun environment. The service is great and the table chips and very fresh and free.
I found my entree flat on texture and flavor. I ordered a mix of things but it all tasted the same, not bad, just not moving, some what bland. Everything but the hard taco had a singular soft texture.
My tips that really improved my food, work in the chips - save some and the dips for the entrees. Also, if you like spicy food, ask for some hot sauce. See the photos where I used the chips to make chicken enchilada nachos. I used the lemon from my drink to jazz the rice and the dips to create great flavors. I also recommend ordering a good balance of hard and soft items to really boost the experience. I would go again, I would just change the order a bit - worth a visit.

We found that Jose Tequilas Mexican Bar and Grill is a really fun place. The atmosphere is casual, very colorful and decidedly Mexican. Our guacamole and tortillas soup were delicious and the portions were huge. Our server was very friendly and very attentive. A great place to eat.

Came in late after bush garden with 4 kids. Lots of options on the kids menu. The kids nachos my daughter got were delicious. Some people would say the guacamole on the newbie was spicy but we thought it was perfect. Good was quick and great. Server was nice and accommodating.

Definitely 5 stars—and honestly, they deserve even more. The service is warm and attentive, the food is full of flavor with an impressive variety, and every detail makes you feel welcome. No complaints at all. Without a doubt, one of the very best Mexican restaurants in the area. We’ll absolutely be coming back.

Not to be dramatic but they make the best Chile Relleno I HAVE EVER TASTED, yeah it might not be everyone’s favorite dish or overall favorite thing on the menu, but let me tell you… this is my all time favorite Chile Relleno!! I have had MANY, MANY Chile Rellenos in my life time and this one is the best. I am not a fake reviewer and also not a paid reviewer, I don’t make reviews EVER! But this is my first and might just be my last one cuz the people need to know! JT’s Famous Chile Rellenos are damn nears 30 bucks (that’s when you add tortillas to it, you can’t eat Chile Rellenos without tortillas duh) but it’s worth it! Eat one Chile Relleno and then save the other for dinner the next day. Trust!!! Just realized this is a chain restaurant so I will be eating at other locations… to try their Chile Relleno, cuz i frickin LOVE IT! BLESS IT BE!
Thank you God for this delicious meal! Thank you JT!
