My mom just went here tonight and so I am posting for her: This was our first time in Williamsburg and saw this place as we were driving around looking for a place for dinner. Route 60 barbecue market was outstanding!!! Our meals were absolutely delicious!!! Everything was piping hot on our plates, the way it should be at every restaurant. The pulled chicken was so tender, the coated fries were cooked perfectly, nice and crispy, the beans were great and the cornbread was so moist. The service was excellent and the place was very clean. It was by far the BEST bbq place I’ve ever been to and would very highly recommend it!
One star for the person who brought food to the table, only one with service manners there. Meat is very dry, almost like they have no business serving bbq period. I tried their fried chicken sandwich and it was absolutely terrible. The smell of burnt grease greeted me as soon as the plate got on the table. The fries and the sandwich had the same old grease taste. I was starving and tried to eat it but couldn't, ended up throwing it and the fries away. The chicken itself is processed maybe? It just didn't look right, zoom in and judge for yourself, looks like the McDonald's dollar chicken sandwich. Never again, do not recommend.
Great place to get BBQ! Got the 3 meat platter with Brisket, Pulled Pork and the Chicken. Platter also comes with Cornbread which is so good. All of the meats were amazing. Especially loved the Brisket and pulled Pork but you can’t go wrong the Chicken. Staff was great and the restaurant was clean. They obviously take pride in what they do. I will definitely be back:)
Bit pricey for bland food. Chicken was not seasoned, yes it had sauce but the chicken could have been cooked with seasoning. The coleslaw made it halfway decent. The collards are drowned in vinegar. While I love collards cooked in vinegar it felt like eating hot pickle juice. Fries were good. They liked the mac n cheese. We probably will not re-visit.
This place was beautiful! The food was excellent, the service was 10/10! They even sell organic products! Will recommend 100%!! If you visit williamsburg in VA this is def a stop you need to add!
